How to Help

The Reb Zalman Legacy Project

The Reb Zalman Legacy Project is a special initiative of the Yesod Foundation to preserve, develop and disseminate the teachings of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, better known as "Reb Zalman," an innovative leader in ecumenical dialogue and founder of the Jewish Renewal and Spiritual Eldering movements.

In countless ways, Reb Zalman has created a harmonious synthesis of tradition and innovation in his own life and the lives of others; he has breathed new life and an evolving God-spirit into the spiritual practices of the past, keeping them rooted in ancient wisdom while adapting them for the present. In these times marked by darkness and confusion, to give our energy and resources to something so positive and life-affirming as The Reb Zalman Legacy Project is both an honor and a hazakah---a spiritual empowerment.

Please do your part and join us in this work of a lifetime! For those of you who have faithfully given donations of $18 and $36 in the past years, we thank you and ask you to now consider stepping up your gift for this amazing cause. For those of you who have already given more to support Reb Zalman's work, we ask you now to give as generously as possible while Reb Zalman continues to be blessed with health and vitality. Please let us hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

P.S.: While The Reb Zalman Legacy Project is a major focus of our work, the Yesod Foundation continues its other major project:

The Center for Engaged Jewish Studies (EJS) continues to enrich the Boulder area educationally, providing programs and classes that help us to think "out of the box" about our Jewish spirituality. We are proud to feature both local and national teachers such as Rabbi Rami Shapiro, Rabbi David Cooper, Eve Ilsen, Mark Gerzon, Rabbis Victor and Nadya Gross, Rabbi Tirzah Firestone, and of course our beloved Reb Zalman. These and other teachers have brought inspiration to thousands of participants in the last several years

Thank you for your support and for sharing in the mitzvah of spreading Torah and the work of our great elder!
