The Reb Zalman Legacy Project

THE REB ZALMAN LEGACY PROJECT was begun by the Yesod Foundation in 2003 to preserve, develop and disseminate the teachings of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. The major goal of the original project was to establish an archive of Reb Zalman’s papers and other media at a major university that would then be widely accessible to researchers at all levels.

This archive was first established at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado in 2005, and was later transferred to the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2010. At that point, the original mission of the Reb Zalman Legacy Project was fulfilled.

Nevertheless, the work of promoting a greater awareness of the teachings of Reb Zalman goes on. Thus, the Reb Zalman Legacy Project seeks to be a clearinghouse of information on Reb Zalman and his work, as well as a vehicle for Reb Zalman to continue to communicate with his many students and admirers the world over.
